Human Safety Toxicologist BS/MS

Our Global Product Stewardship organization in Cincinnati has immediate openings for Toxicologists to join the Health Care Safety team. We are seeking motivated individuals to become valued members of the safety team within our Oral Care business. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that both the products we market and the technologies under development are safe for consumers to use. This work will occur in a challenging and globally diverse business environment. You will be part of the Research and Development department and provide technical guidance and safety assurance to project teams globally for complex and innovative technologies through all stages of product development. You will develop reciprocal working relationships with global safety authorities and with related functions in the areas of Regulatory Affairs, Analytical Sciences, and External Relations. You will design and interpret data from in vitro, in vivo and clinical safety studies and utilize those data to ensure that the products we market globally are safe for consumers to use.

Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role:  
A Bachelor's or Master's in Toxicology or Pharmacology. We prefer a degree in these disciplines, but other life science degrees will be considered (especially if it is accompanied with experience in either chemical risk assessment or physical hazard assessment). Good communication skills (both oral and written). We would love to have someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment. A motivated learner and strong critical thinker. The successful candidate will need to be able to operate independently and be highly self-motivated. Be proficient in database and literature mining. Be proficient Microsoft Office tools (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint), be comfortable in an online collaborative environment.
